Biography
Gregory Hanissian, MD, has been practicing medicine for over 25 years in the field of allergy and immunology. He is a graduate of Rhodes College (Phi Beta Kappa) and the University of Alabama School of Medicine (Alpha Omega Alpha). After his residency at the University of Tennessee; he completed a fellowship in allergy and immunology at Duke University Medical Center.
He joined his father, Dr. Aram Hanissian, in 1996 and they worked together in the practice of allergy and immunology until Dr. Aram retired in 2013.
Dr. Hanissian was board certified in Allergy and Immunology in 1997, has recertified twice and maintains certification annually. He is a past president and member of the Mid-South Allergy Forum. He has been chosen as one of Memphis’s Top Doctors in Allergy & Immunology annually since 2014.
He loves using his knowledge and years of experience tackling complex medical problems. He always treats patients as he himself would like to be treated if he were the patient. He welcomes new patients of all ages with a wide range of allergic and immunologic conditions.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, gardening, DIY projects, and photography.
